Makes 6 servings.
Grease generously 9"x13" glass pan.
slices white sandwich bread
ounces cream cheese
8 ounces or
1 cup fresh blueberries (washed and
cream cheese over 6 slices of bread and place in
single layer on bottom of 9x13 pan (cream cheese side up). Layer
6 slices of bread and distribute blueberries evenly over top.
Layer remaining 6 slices of bread over all.
1 cup berry
1 cup heavy
cream or half n half cream
Tablespoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon nutmeg
together eggs, yogurt, cream, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and gently
bread layers in 9x13 pan. Cover and
overnight (not more than 24 hours). Remove cover and bake in 350 degree
minutes until brown and slightly puffy. Let stand for approximately 15
before slicing. Place individual slices
on plate, sprinkle with powdered sugar, top with sweetened whipped
garnish with fresh berries or nutmeg.
Serve with warm syrup or lemon curd on the side.
